also served as a biblical and theological instructor at Johnstown Christian School and served on the board of the Protestant Campus Ministry at University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown Campus. Pastor Henderson has been the pastor of Covenant since May 2013.
Since his installation at Covenant Pastor Henderson has ministered through preaching, teaching and administering the sacraments. He has delighted in bringing many folks through membership classes, leading Men's Bible studies, training church officers, and teaching apologetics, theology and biblical studies. He has consistently lead the congregation in a time of discipleship following worship in which the congregation publicly discusses the content of Sunday Morning Worship. He has also established the church as a training site for potential ministers and lay people interested in a rigorous knowledge of their faith.
Pastor Henderson has a passion to see people grow in the knowledge of God. In his teaching and preaching, there is a commitment to the central message of the Bible that God entered His own creation in Jesus Christ to bring hope and forgiveness to a fallen world. We all fall short, but Jesus did not. We are called to put our trust in the Jesus who is “God with us.” As we get a true understanding of God’s grace in Jesus our lives are forever changed. This is a change Pastor Henderson has seen and felt in his own life and he desires others to know it as well. As pastor of Covenant it is his vision to see the church continue to grow as a community who worships God faithfully according to His word, disciples in the grace and truth of God and serves others with a love that comes from God.
Pastor Henderson is also committed to being an example of Christ's love in his family, as a husband to his wife Brooke and a father to their four daughters and one son.
